European Queer Alliance of PostOst Community is a European human rights organization supporting LGBTQ people from the PostOst territories. EQUAL opposes social, political, legal, and gender inequality as well as various forms of discrimination against queer people.
We aim to create a unifying platform for the queer community from the former Post Ost countries on the territory of the European Union.
Areas of work:
psychological and legal support including support for the helping professionals
the evacuation of LGBTQ activists in pursuit
support by integration of queer people relocated from PostOst territories within the EU
consultations for queer people from PostOst territories regarding legalization and emigration
advocacy and bringing the issues of queer people from Post-Ost countries to the political agenda within EU
art projects
establishing connections and building cooperation between initiatives from various European regions with a PostOst focus
