Thanks to your support, we were able to rebuild a small financial buffer for Shishu Neer. This gives the organization security for the coming months and creates a base to continue the work of the children’s center. Our aim is to secure the funds for the following year by December, as we did before the pandemic, so the children's center in Bangladesh can plan ahead and the children can rely on steady support. We’re not fully there yet, but we’re getting closer each year. 

A look at Bangladesh shows how important this stability is. National elections are scheduled for 2026, and the country is currently led by an interim government. Previous election years have shown that such phases can become messy. For the children at the center, this means facing another period of political uncertainty — Shishu Neer remains a constant for them, offering a safe place to learn and grow. 

One piece of good news: We were able to expand local fundraising in Bangladesh and want to continue strengthening it. Our long-term vision is a shared financial foundation, supported from both Bangladesh and Germany.
