The money is used to support ORAM's work protecting and empowering LGBTIQ refugees in Berlin. ORAM does this through short-term emergency housing and economic empowerment programs - including skills development and training, mentorship, and career connection support. The funds will help vulnerable LGBTIQ refugees in Berlin find stability and provide them with the tools to rebuild their lives after displacement. ORAM also helps build solidarity and community with LGBTIQ refugees and asylum seekers in Berlin through community events and workshops. These events and workshops help LGBTIQ refugees deal with the complexities and mental health tolls of displacement. ORAM also advocates for LGBTIQ refugees on the global stage - ensuring that humanitarian and government professionals are educated and trained on the unique challenges LGBTIQ refugees face along their displacement journey.
