Über uns

It's already our second year operating as a place for individual and group Buddhist practices in Ukraine. There is water, a kitchen, a toilet, a roof over our heads, and solar electricity. We're also now testing a small wind generator. We are located in the forest 92 km far from Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine https://goo.gl/maps/6xJmXz9Vdmnmbvtg9
We were created as a center of Kagyu and Nyingma practices of Tibetan Buddhism in 2012 by a group of Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche's students. One of Rinpoche's disciples offered the Ukrainian community an old soviet-time resort in 2016, which we plan to develop into a modern retreat campus.

This organization cooperates with the Maecenata Foundation:

“The Four Mind Changing” can sound like introductory Dharma, yet their relevance never fades. During Lama Gendun Yongdu’s visit to Ukraine (December 12–18), our community practiced and received teachings in the middle of russia’s war against Ukraine. It was a rare chance to experience authentic Dharma where it is needed most.
These four thoughts became very direct: the preciousness of human birth, not because life is easy, but because the path is still possible; impermanence, which cannot be treated as a slogan if we want real resilience; cause and effect, especially when fear and anger arise; and the flaws of samsara, the reminder that no “safe place” in the conditioned world can be our final refuge.
For our small Gomde Ukraine retreat center, this is exactly why the place matters. We are trying to keep a living space for practice, refuge, and community support, even as war continues and the center still carries years of damage and unfinished restoration.
If you would like to help keep this Dharma refuge alive in Ukraine, please support our campaign. Your donation directly supports the maintenance and recovery of Gomde Ukraine and helps us continue offering practice, teachings, and a stable ground for people who are living through extreme uncertainty.
Thank you for standing with our community, and for supporting the continuity of the Buddha’s teachings where it is hardest to sustain.
