TUM SEED Center

 The TUM SEED Center of the Technical University of Munich spearheads the "LET LIFE FLOW: Water For Kyampisi" project, which began as a crowdfunding initiative under a project study by TUM students and the TUM SEED Center. The project aims to address the issue of inadequate access to clean drinking water in Kyampisi, a remote village in central Uganda. Presently, the approximately 1000 villagers must walk 2 km to the nearest swamp to fetch water, which is contaminated by animal feed and motorcycle washing. Consequently, the residents lack access to clean drinking water, which results in severe health implications. To solve this problem, the Let Life Flow project intends to construct a well in Kyampisi by raising funds through donations. The funds raised will be utilized to drill an underground well, install a pumping system, and two 10,000-liter water tanks, all designed to operate sustainably, relying on solar energy to pump the well water. In collaboration with the Makerere University in Uganda, the first solar cells have been installed in the village, paving the way for the construction of the well.
