Jali Familia is a community based organization in Mathare slums in Kenya. Mathare is the second largest informal settlement in Kenya and has some for the most devastating conditions in the world. It is notorious for drugs, crime, illiteracy, HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty.
Jali Familia which means caring for the family in Swahili has been serving the most vulnerable families by mobilizing resources and funds for basic human needs. We envision a Transformed and Empowered community with strong families.
