Über uns
2017 wurde „Rap for Refugees“ ins Leben gerufen – ein gemeinnütziges Projekt, das sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, Jugendlichen durch die Kultur und Werte des Hip-Hop eine Stimme zu geben. Was als Charity-Festival begann, entwickelte sich schnell zu einer interkulturellen Plattform für Workshops, Veranstaltungen und persönliche Entwicklung. Über die Jahre hat das Projekt hunderte Jugendliche erreicht und ihnen Möglichkeiten eröffnet, ihre Talente in den Bereichen Rap, Beatboxing, Graffiti und Tanz zu entdecken und zu fördern.
Der Ansatz von „Rap for Refugees“ ist klar: Kunst und Kultur dienen als Brücke zwischen verschiedenen Lebenswelten. Es geht darum, Barrieren abzubauen, Geschichten zu erzählen und junge Menschen zu stärken – unabhängig von ihrer Herkunft oder Situation. Im Fokus stehen dabei interaktive Workshops, die kreativen Ausdruck fördern, sowie Festivals, bei denen die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit präsentiert werden.
Die Erfolgsgeschichte von „Rap for Refugees“ legte den Grundstein für R1SE, ein neues Kapitel der Organisation. Mit R1SE wird die ursprüngliche Idee weiterentwickelt.

Easter greetings and an update on our social kiosk project: an important next step
Hello on this Easter Monday! We hope you’re all well!
We’d also like to keep you updated on the small but important steps we’ve taken: over the last few days, we’ve replaced the locks on the containers and installed a CCTV camera and motion-activated lights. This will ensure basic security on site, which is also a crucial step towards setting up our kiosk.
Why is this so important?The plan is for the residents themselves to help run the kiosk in the future. For this to be possible, a safe environment is needed, both for the operation of the kiosk and for the people on site.
The accommodation is rather remote, with dark corners and hardly any infrastructure in the immediate vicinity. That is precisely why it is important to us to actively ensure safety here and create a place that is reliable and secure.
The cameras and lights will be installed once Kerim, a talented graffiti artist, has spray-painted the container and the containers have been cleared out and made ready inside.
