• Fully volunteer organization – no individual receives any salary or allowances
• Local partner in Elangata Wuas is the Elangata Wuas Resource Center, a community based volunteer organization, founded with Africa SOMA support in 2008
• Program funding has come from families and friends in the Netherlands, Canada, and the United States
