Über uns

Mthuzi Development Foundation (MDF) was established in 1992 during the drought and relief exercise and was registered under the Laws of Zambia in January 1993. It has Board of Governors who are concerned with policy decisions (formulates, review, analyze and refine) and the Secretariat, which translates policies into activities. Mthuzi Development Foundation is a grass root NGO established to work actively in project formulation, implementation, research, and lobbying and advocacy. MDF’s main partners include Zambian Government line Ministries, International Development and Aid Agencies, FBOs, NGOs, CBOs and Church Agencies.
Legal Status
The Foundation is registered under the Zambian Law as a non-partisan and not for profit making organization not facing any litigation and is legally secure. We have a constitution from where mandate is drawn. Our registration Certificate number is 27553.

Mission
To empower disadvantaged people in society through comprehensive and integrated disease interventions.
Goal
Contribute to the reduction of the disease burden and poverty levels by raising the standard of living for the community

Empowering Communities towards behaviour Changes

The project has in the last three months achieved the following things listed in the implementation plan:

1. Condoms: Females ~ 20 and Males~1125

2. Door to door campaigns ~ Females ~27 and Males ~29

3. Theatre for development ~ Females~409 and Males ~ 321

4. Focus Group Discussions ~ Females 91 and Males ~ 73.

We would like to emphasis on educations to change behaviour and through culturally sensitive messages and the project is making tremendous progress which if support continues will see a model of a behaviour change in Zambia.
