AIM OF THE PROJECT :

TO MAKE AWARENESS ILL EFFECTS OF PLASTIC THROUGH VARIOUS ACTIVITIES BY WAY OF “MESSAGE ON WHEELS” IN MADURAI DISTRICT, TAMIL NADU.

JUSTIFICATION :
Particularly this Plastic free Campaign and Environment Programme to awareness promotion among public in Madurai District from Tamil Nadu level about Dangers of Plastic Usage and Conservation of Environment and Forests ultimately we have to promote awareness on Forests for Livelihood including Trees, Water, Air and Wildlife to General Public including School Students, Youth, Lions Clubs, Women Self help group Members, Village Water Shed Committee Members, Farmers club members through Mobile Van Campaign and Tree Plantation, Using of Plastic Carry bags and Using Plastic things now day by day grown up and people like to use plastic as fashion, this is a major cause for Environment damage and causes of damage of soils and agricultural production. Based on issues and our state level studies we do plan and evolve this project . Through this Madurai District level Message on Wheels campaign we give awareness generation promotion on Environment and Forests and its however important to our lives , impacts including how to safeguard and what are the methods to conserve social forest and Village natural resources like forests, water tanks, kulam, kuttai and herbal trees, and create community forests through mass tree plantation and bring environment villages by avoiding usage of Plastic , For Tree Plantation Programme automatically its help to make the Public to stopping pollution of protected water bodies and forests , natural environment, and people livelihood, thereby 10 lakhs numbers of Tree saplings would be plantation in Madurai and Schools in Madurai District from Tamil Nadu level, so all kinds of messages related Forests for Sustainable Livelihood spread among public in Madurai through this Mobile Campaign . Ultimately to make clean forest environment through participation of People in Madurai that we have jointly effort with NGOs, Lions Clubs, Schools, and General Public and Village farmers to motivate to stopping Using Plastics and Plastic Carry bags and encourage to use plastic free carry bags and things , We have travel right from August 15, 2013 , so we start this mobile campaign from Kandai Village from Madurai District on this important Day and plan to each district as schedule date with collaboration of NGOs, Schools, Lions Clubs and finally we plan to reach and complete the programme in Madurai on 25th June 2013. Totally hope to get at least expected Madurai covering and 7 lakhs directly participate and benefit this Madurai District from Tamil Nadu Level Mobile Campaign
