The Sailing for Sustainability Network is run by volunteers all over Europe, working on an intensive project to research and experience valuable modes of life that fill the empty rethorics of sustainability with concrete meaning.

It culminates in a three weeks trip, sailing along the Baltics on the ship called "Lovis" that is build and run on sustainable measures. Here is an excerpt from our mainfesto:

As part of a global movement, everyone joining our open network will be sailing for three weeks on a ship to tackle grapsable approaches for sustainable lifestyle. A moving social labratory in the Baltic Sea that serves as vessel to experience and develop practical approaches like degrowth and collective economy, renewable energy, collaborative decisionmaking and measurement of resource consumption. During the trip, we will look behind the curtains of mainstream socialization as consumers and redefine our needs for a good life both as individuals and global society. Like one of millions of acupuncture needles, we will prickle the cultural body of exploitation and profitmaking to heal for a better. For us and for future generations.
