Together with the Welt Hunger Hilfe, we are transforming lives through a comprehensive school canteen program in the Kirundo province in Burundi. In Burundi, where over half of the children under five suffer from chronic malnutrition, the school canteen program provides hope. By providing warm, nutritious meals, we are encouraging families to send their children to school instead of keeping them at home for fieldwork. Girls, who often face the most significant educational barriers, are given the opportunity to learn and thrive.


Beyond feeding young minds, your donations are also strengthening local communities. Ingredients for school lunches are increasingly sourced from local farmers, and school gardens teach students about sustainable farming while contributing fresh vegetables for balanced diets. Hygiene initiatives, including the construction of ecological toilets and rainwater collection systems, are creating healthier learning environments.
