WHO ARE WE?

Hi, I'm Simon! I am an engineering student at INSA Lyon, specializing in Biotechnologies. Like my partner Ivan, I’ve practiced numerous sports: mountaineering, skiing, climbing, tennis, rugby, football, etc. But here’s the twist: endurance sports like running are completely new to me.
When I first heard about the Marathon des Sables (MDS), I was instantly hooked - it’s the ultimate challenge! What makes this journey even more meaningful is the chance to make a real impact. I believe the two most essential things in life are health and education. That’s why combining my dream of running the MDS with supporting 80 kindergarten children in Jordan is a mission I’m deeply passionate about, and it fuels me every single day.

I am an engineering student at INSA Lyon specializing in industrial engineering. I’ve practiced a lot of sports during my childhood and still do today, whether it’s gymnastics, judo, or athletics. However, I have no experience in endurance sports so far. This Marathon des Sables is a brand-new challenge for me, motivating me to prepare as efficiently as possible. I want to do everything I can to succeed in this feat. In terms of education, my parents have always encouraged me to make the necessary efforts to have all the tools to build the future I desire. I followed a fairly standard educational path in the French system, and now I’m lucky enough to be in a prestigious school. My desire for children who lack access to culture to benefit from an education that allows them to follow their dreams is growing in me. Through this project, I lay the first stone, hoping you will add the others.
