BWP Fundraiser – Floods Germany
 
On 14 July, heavy rain and severe storms hit Western Germany. Rivers overflowed and destroyed entire towns and villages: roads were flooded, rail and road traffic as well as mobile phone networks are still partially paralyzed. Thousands of people have been evacuated and many have lost their homes and belongings. The death toll has now risen to more than 170, with many still missing. 

 

Let us work together to support those in need. We have decided to support the work of “Aktion Deutschland Hilft - Das Bündnis” via the fundraising campaign Flood Germany - Your donation helps. We chose this organization because its work is very close to our hearts. 

 

Just to give a few examples, this is how “Aktion Deutschland” is now providing emergency aid: 

 

·      Organize shelters for people who have lost their homes 

·      Distribute food and drinking water 

·      Help with cleanup efforts 

·      Support reconstruction of schools and social contributions 

·      Provide meals and psychological support for emergency workers on site
