Chris' 1 cent per km sponsored treck 2014

Thanks for supporting my sponsored cycle commute. I am trying to cycle the whole journey from Hamburg (near to where I live) to Walldorf (near to where I also live). The plan is that I cycle and count the kilometers. You agree to sponsor me 1 cent per km (or more, if you want). The route is around 850-900 kms. I am cycling with a friend of mine who can take some "docmentary evidence" that we really did cycle the route.
Why am I doing this? The charity that I'd like us to support is the Alzheimer Society. A couple of years ago my mother died of dementia. Within a year the amazingly lively, independent person who I had known became just a shell. I would not wish that experience on any mother, father, son or daughter.
What do you have to do now? NOTHING at the moment. When I have finished the ride, I'll let you know what the total number of kms cycled was and you can decide if and what you want to pay per km.
