Create Safer Spaces for marginalized women*, trans, intersex, and non-binary people - together with BIWOC* Rising, an intersectional empowerment project to strengthen social, professional, and economic participation.
The gentrification in Berlin takes away the space for empowering projects by and for marginalized women* and trans -, intersex - and non-binary people to develop and inhibits inclusion, diversity and equal opportunities in society. The non-profit organization BIWOC* Rising stands against this - with an intersectional Work and Social Club and Co-Working Space! But for this we need accessible, barrier-free spaces and the necessary financial means, because Berlin's rent boom does not stop at our project. To be able to build safer spaces and organize our programs, we need a budget.
This is where you come in!
Our campaign goal: 20,000€ to continue creating a safe space and the spaces and structures for BIWOC* Rising! Every donation is worthwhile - for you as well: In return, every donor receives an online seminar on the topic of intersectional justice! Additionally, if you donate more than 500€, you will get the chance to participate in a digital anti-racism training for up to 20 people!
Important: If you want to participate in the seminar, please don't donate anonymously so that we can see your email addresses.
Our community and we at BIWOC* Rising are grateful for every donation and share, so feel free to share this campaign and tell your friends, families, acquaintances and colleagues about us.
Thank you very much!
Who we are and what we do
BIWOC* Rising is an intersectional empowerment project to strengthen the social, professional, and economic participation of marginalized women*, trans -, intersex - and non-binary people. The idea grew out of the high demand for safer work spaces (#MeToo).
Our safer space provides non-discriminatory, intersectional and intercultural structures, networks and communities to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Additional educational programs provide knowledge to combat racism, sexism, ableism, transphobia, classism and other intersectional forms of discrimination in the labor market and in society.
