About this project

B. Schilling from Konvoi der Hoffnung e. V. is responsible for this project
The current goal is 1,000 wheelchairs for Kosovo!

How does it work? Quite simply: the repair shop of Konvoi der Hoffnung in Karlsruhe, Nördl. Uferstr. 4, maintains and repairs donated, used wheelchairs. This saves raw materials, avoids CO² emissions in new production, and reduces waste.

The wheelchairs are exported to so-called "poor countries" where disabled people cannot afford a wheelchair and it is not adequately financed by insurance either.

That sounds good, but in practice it only works with your donation. Because our two workers need a wage, spare parts and workshop costs have to be paid. Then there is the transport, which unfortunately is not free either.

No matter how much you contribute, it is an investment in the future in several respects: disabled children get a better quality of life and maybe work in the future.

Adults with restricted mobility can leave their isolation, take part in life and make social contacts.

We all benefit from a reduction in CO² emissions, because every kilo less counts!
