This is an environmental program that was de signed by WWID/HFL as ameans of conserving our environment with particular emphasis to schools and communicaties around them; This program has among its components; issues that address health; water and sanitation; environmental awareness; tree planting with particular emphasis to multipurpose trees and species especially fruit trees for nutrition in school in Kibe Village of Wamuzimu county with at least 3600 Fruit trees of different types. Also over 1000 trees for shades; firewood and ornamental purposes. Have been planted in 12 Schools around Wamuzimu county and in 4 communities. Environmental awareness too has been and is being carried out in communities and schools. As such; the fruits for nutrition in schoos FSS Project shall be a component under green schools program. Our goal is to provide generations of children and teachers with environmental education opportinities in green compounds through tree planting.
