Eure Spenden haben Großartiges bewirkt!
Liebe Menschen,
jetzt sind bereits wieder ein paar Monate ins Land gegangen und vielleicht habt ihr euch gefragt, was eigentlich aus den Spenden des Crowdfundings geworden ist. Im Arts for Change Centre ist viel passiert, denn mit den Spenden konnten nicht nur vier Nähmaschinen angeschafft werden, sondern auch ein wunderschönes Nähcafé mit Materialien eingerichtet werden. Hier sollen in Zukunft unter Anleitung Nähkurse für die Menschen der Lweza-Gemeinde stattfinden. Außerdem ist der Garten dank eurer Spenden fruchtbarer denn je, denn nun gibt es genug Werkzeuge, Schutzausrüstung und Pflanzen, um die Menschen im Zentrum und auch die Nachbarschaft mit frischem Gemüse zu versorgen. Aktuell gibt es vor allem Matooke, das sind Essbananen, die gekocht werden und in Uganda traditionell in vielen Gerichten gegessen werden. Die Verwendung eurer Spenden, also die Abrechnung und der Einkauf der Materialien sowie die Ausstattung im Zentrum wurden von unseren wundervollen ugandischen Kolleg*innen vor Ort koordiniert, denen wir hier herzlich danken möchten: Sharon, Tobias und Mary. Die drei haben uns auch gebeten, uns bei euch zu bedanken, denn die Spenden haben schon jetzt direkte positive Auswirkungen auf das Zentrum und die Community. A few months have passed and you may have wondered what happened to the donations from the crowdfunding. A lot has happened at the Arts for Change Centre, because the donations were not only used to purchase four sewing machines, but also to set up a beautiful sewing café with materials. In the future, sewing courses for the people of the Lweza community will be held here under guidance. In addition, thanks to your donations, the garden is more fertile than ever, because now there are enough tools, protective equipment and plants to provide the people in the center and also the neighborhood with fresh vegetables. Currently there are mainly matooke, which are edible bananas that are cooked and traditionally eaten in many dishes in Uganda. The use of your donations, i.e. the accounting and the purchase of the materials as well as the equipment in the center were coordinated by our wonderful Ugandan colleagues on site, whom we would like to thank here very much: Sharon, Tobias and Mary. The three of them also asked us to thank you, because the donations have already had a direct positive impact on the center and the community.
