About this project
Uganda's overall young population suffers from the worst negative consequences of alcohol abuse in the world. There are only a few treatment options. By 2030, the NGO Hope and Beyond (HaB) is planning to build an addiction support facility in Kavule, 30 km south of Kampala.
In the first step, a health centre is currently being built, which can be opened this year and which, in addition to offers for rehabilitation, will also be available for the inhabitants of the region (especially women and children) for primary medical care. The building could be financed from previous donations, now the interior furnishings and some small medical equipment are still missing.
