Volcanic Eruption on ST. Vincent – Help us to Save the ST. Vincent Amazons

On April 9th, 2021, the volcano La Soufrière erupted on the Caribbean island of St. Vincent.
A fifth of the country is already ash-covered, and further explosions have been announced. The situation is expected to deteriorate. ACTP draws a long history of cooperation with the island nation. The island's people are essential to us, as well as the animals which are also affected by this natural disaster. As we have dedicated ourselves to protect the St. Vincent Amazon native to this Lesser Antilles island for years, we are going to make every effort to help to protect these parrots from the volcanic ash's effects.

In cooperation with the local forest authority, we are intending to cover the human cared bird-aviaries on the island and create a protected space for the birds. With your donation, we are going to:

If the volcano has calmed down, we will put our primary focus on the species' wildlife population. As soon as the forest area may be re-entered, veterinarians and biologists are going to take a look at the population. Hopefully, the damage of lava and ash isn't that significant. ACTP is making every effort to support St. Vincent in these difficult times, and we hope to know you by our side helping us.
