About this project

In cooperation with its Malian sister organisation Action pour l'Afrique, Aktion pro Afrika supports ten schools in Mali within the framework of school sponsorships.
The small town N'Gabacoro near the capital Bamako (Province Koulikoro) is in need of our and your help. The town owns a school for the classes 7 to 9 with 805 pupils. For the purpose of providing formal education to these childern they have 9 class rooms and 9 teachers.
But there is one problem: For those 805 children the school has only 138 2-seated school desks. Consequently, often 4 kids are required to sit very close to each other in one desk, many others even sit on the ground. These conditions pose a major threat to being able to provide a good education to the malian youth!

With your financial support we want to help the school financing 200 new schools desks. They are produced on the local market and cost approx. 70€ per unit. Luckily a financement for the other missing units was already found.
