Dear supporters of the Dream Children's Home!

I once again would like to take the chance to say thank you for all your support in the last years. Due to your help and support during the last years Dreams thrives magnificently. We are able to keep the compound safe, renew some old buildings (e.g. the really shabby old kitchen with no prober roof) and we try to come up with some new ideas for the greenhouse. All children are doing well and the affiliated school provides an excellent basis for the future of children. For 10 years Rachel runs the orphanage and we are very proud that her dream came true. Dream Children’s Home definitely turned into a role model in the neighborhood of Ngong Hills – even in hard times Rachel never lost the focus what it is all about: strengthen needy children and orphans with love and education so that they can start their own life as strong individual personalities.

Also back in Germany we keep growing. So far I was doing all work by my own. Since August I have some former volunteers and supporters next to me and we are about to register Dreams as a charity in Germany so that all donations are tax deductible from latest 2017. The only downside: We get away with it a little bit too late. From 01/11/2016 a new law prohibits to collect donations on betterplace as long as you are not registered as a charitable organization in Germany. That's why you won’t be able to donate for Dreams in the period from 01/11/2016 until probably mid of December. We hope that the bureaucratic processes can be completed quickly (there is just one paper from the Finanzamt missing). If you want to transfer money in the meantime, don’t hesitate to write me personally: simone@dreamchildrenshome-kenya-orphanage.org

I wish you all the very best and with Rachels word ASANTE SANA for your support during the last 10 years.

Kind regards,
Simone Oesterle
