Storms, drought and pests have taken their toll on the forest in recent years.
Formerly dense forests have been dishevelled by storms, on entire mountain slopes the forest fell victim to storms or bark beetles. - The consequences of climate change are omnipresent in the forest!
What remains are large, bare areas that urgently need to be reforested.

The Future Forest Foundation supports the reforestation campaign of its founder, the Lower Saxony State Forests, so that the destroyed forests in Lower Saxony grow into healthy and stable mixed forests and protect our climate. To ensure that the forest can continue to act as a climate protector in the future, the foundation teaches children and young people about the diverse properties of the forest for us humans and our environment!
