About this project

M. Fleige from TECHNIK BEGEISTERT e.V. is responsible for this project
With our non-profit organization we inspire children and young people from 6 - 19 with the help of exciting robot competitions for technology & robotics. In this way we contribute to the promotion of young people in the STEM sector.

Every year, we reach over 4,000 girls and boys with our offers around the World Robot Olympiad (short: WRO). Meanwhile there are WRO competitions at more than 50 venues all over Germany and the number is growing. Once a year there is a big German final, which is held in a different city every year. Nationwide we are supported by various partners from the educational sector, more than 800 people help as referees, jury members or in the organisation of our events.

In order to inspire many more children and young people with our robot competitions, we need your support! With your donation you help us to develop and promote new projects around the robot competitions and to become active in other regions.

The organisation of a nationwide competition involves some costs - awards and certificates for the competition, rent for office and warehouse, personnel costs for employees or costs for public relations. Currently, we finance ourselves mainly through registration fees for the competition and sponsorship money, although we would like to permanently reduce the registration fees to enable even more children to participate.

A scientific evaluation study has confirmed that we are organising a project with an impact. In our competitions children and young people can develop their hard and soft skills in a positive way - regardless of experience, gender, age or success! We also know that the girls and boys take home an impressive experience during the preparation and the competitions - they just experience their own robot history!

You can help us to make robot stories possible for even more children and young people. Join us in supporting the IT experts and engineers of tomorrow - become a promoter of young talent yourself!
