Parakaleo e.V. is a non-profit organization in Nuremberg that supports and accompanies people working in prostitution/sex work in Nuremberg and eight other cities in northern Bavaria.
Every person working in prostitution has their own story and individual needs. We want to treat them with respect and as equals and find out what they need. We want to ensure that they can live a self-determined life. That is why we have set ourselves the goal of empowering them and helping them to develop coping strategies for their lives.
How do we do this?
Outreach work - In order to establish direct contact with our clients, we visit the people working in prostitution in the prostitution establishments.
Mobile counseling - We visit prostitution establishments in Amberg, Bamberg, Bayreuth, Neumarkt, Kitzingen and Würzburg at regular intervals and offer individual counseling on site.
nona drop-in center - In our drop-in center, we support our clients in a needs-oriented manner with practical help and social counseling.
Exiting / reorienting - If someone wants to leave prostitution, we are at their side and support them in finding new paths.
Transitional housing - Anyone who wants to reorient themselves faces many challenges. We offer women* free accommodation for the transition period.
Social participation - We want to ensure that our clients have the same opportunities as everyone else. Everyone is worthy of having stable social relationships and a place where they feel comfortable and belong. That's why social participation is so important to us.
With your donation, you support our association's work in a very concrete way, which benefits our target group in full. We use the donations exactly where they are most urgently needed.
