About this project

Become active and do not allow children and teenagers in crisis situations to be pushed even further to the margins of society.

The corona pandemic is disrupting our lives in ways never before imagined and poses great challenges. However, the severe restrictions in public life and their short and long-term consequences affect the children and teenagers in our projects in Southeast Europe and Jordan much more than they do us in Germany. Those who live in poverty, have limited access to education and participation in society or suffer discrimination are particularly hard hit in the current crisis.

With your support, our projects try to alleviate the greatest hardships caused by the Corona Pandemic:

Street Kids in Tirana/Albania
In the Albanian capital, the ARSIS project has been caring for a large number of street kids, mostly from the Roma minority, for many years. Not least because of the severe earthquake in November 2019, many of them live on the streets. With your support in the Corona crisis, the staff of our project provide the children and teenagers with food and hygiene products. They are also committed to effective protection against the experience of violence. After the crisis, educational and leisure activities can once again take place in open youth centres.

Refugees in Belgrade/Serbia and Amman/Jordan
Refugees are among those particularly affected by the Corona crisis - not only at the EU's external borders. In both the Serbian and the Jordanian capital, refugees are currently barely able to earn their most basic living - and are particularly at risk due to their poor living conditions. Thanks to your donation, dedicated teams from our projects ATINA and Collateral Repair Project can provide them with the most basic necessities, such as food vouchers and hgyiene articels. After the crisis, they will try to provide the young refugees with educational offers to give them a perspective at their place of residence.

The needs listed here are examples of needs that are currently needed again and again. We promise you that your donation will benefit our projects in Southeast Europe and Jordan and will have an impact there. We will keep you up to date!

Your commitment counts, because survival in a crisis must not be a privilege.
