Corona prevention: water dispensers for schools in Mali

Water dispensers for washing hands at schools in Mali: Especially in times of Corona, regular hand washing makes an important contribution to prevention. We want to equip ten Malian schools with four water dispensers and soap each.

About this project

In cooperation with its Malian sister organisation Action pour l'Afrique, Aktion pro Afrika supports ten schools in Mali within the framework of school sponsorships.
Of course, the children learn at the schools how important hygiene measures, especially washing their hands, are. However, the financing of education is precarious, so that not every class has a water dispenser and soap for washing their hands. Often there is a lack of teaching staff, books, exercise books and other teaching and learning materials are paid for at the ten schools for the sponsorships consist of our donations.

The current pandemic teaches us again the importance of washing our hands. At the same time we have to fear that the corona virus will hit large parts of Africa, including Mali, very hard. We therefore want to make a small contribution to prevention.

Specifically, we want to equip each of the ten schools with at least four water dispensers (cost factor per unit approx. 15€) and soap (manageable costs, we provide a basic stock), so that we want to finance 40 water dispensers through this project.
