Support street connected children and youth in Uganda during Covid19

Tororo & Busia, Uganda

Street connected children and youth in Uganda have no secure access to education at the moment Streetways Uganda wants to change this, especially in times of Covid-19. Help us support them and their caretakers to enable them to overcome difficulties.

About this project

Streetways Uganda is a German-Ugandan cooperative project that accompanies and supports homeless children and young people in Uganda on their way from the streets back to society. Especially in times of the global CoVid19-pandemic, we urgently need your support. Schools are closed and it is not yet sure at what point they will reopen. Most of the projects beneficiaries now live with relatives, where they cannot be sufficiently supported in educational matters. Now we are trying to mobilize scholastic material and psychosocial support for our beneficiaries and their families.
Of course, we (ASHWA Uganda in Busia, Streetways Uganda Tororo and Streetways Uganda e.V. in Germany) try to continously run our educational project and the offers for single mothers / relatives . We do not want to allow the care of the people in the Streetways Uganda project to suffer from the current health crisis. Since it can be expected that this crisis will also cause economic problems, we will do everything we can to expand the offers for young people and children who still live on the streets as quickly as possible. We need your help here too!
