Cooperation with BEN - Bicycling Empowerment Network Namibia
BEN Namibia was founded in 2005 and aims to support disadvantaged Namibians through the provision of bikes as affordable means of transportation and income generation.
Primarily used bikes and accessories are imported and for example distributed to local health volunteers (HIV/ AIDS) and vulnerable children in rural areas.
The overseas container becomes a bike workshop eqipeed with work-bench and spare parts. Local volunteers are trained by Namibian trainers in bike-repair and business skills to run a social business and provide repair services to the local biking community.
