About this project

We plan to build 2 health posts - 1 for humans and 1 for animals - in a very remote Himalaya area in Nepal in the little village of Chepel. The current health post is 2 days hiking distance from Chepel and there is no medical coverage of animals at all. These health posts would cover around 6000 people and thousands of animal.
We want to establish the 2 buildings, plans are already available, which amounts to about 60.000 Euro total. The Nepali Government ha already given a written statement that they will provide the basic equipment and the 2 health workers for each post, thus sustainability of our project is granted and we are embedded in the local health structure.
The project is triggered by the foundation Friends of Chepel (www.friends-of-chepel.de), which has been supporting the region very successfully since 2012. And we have started a call for funds via a charity run - see Instagram Chepel_goes_gobi.
