What we do
The March of Life House in Caesarea, Israel has been a place of encounter and friendship since 2015 and has become a sign of hope for many Holocaust survivors in Israel. Every week groups of Holocaust survivors and Israeli school groups come to visit and meet people from the March of Life movement from Germany and around the world. Thus one of the greatest needs of the survivors is directly met - loneliness and being left alone with the traumas - and the mission of the prophet Isaiah is fulfilled: "Comfort, comfort my people". The ministry in the March of Life House is carried out in cooperation with the Israeli organization Helping Hand Coalition.
The donations will be used for the following needs:
Visa for Petra Hennig
Petra Hennig has been a member of the March of Life House staff for 4 years and, as a long-serving geriatric nurse, provides an invaluable service. So far she has been able to work in Israel within the framework of a volunteer visa. Since this is no longer possible, we are now applying for a long-term visa, which, however, involves considerable legal costs.
Purchases and equipment
Due to the high frequency in the march of life house with up to three groups of visitors per week, it is necessary that furnishings are replaced indoors and outdoors.
Operation of the house
The running costs for rent, food, house and garden maintenance etc. are very high in Israel and cannot always be fully covered by the income from regular donations and overnight stays. With your donation you help us to keep the house ready for Holocaust survivors and other guests.
