About this project

Since 2014, Refugio Patitas Sin Hogar ("Homeless Paws Shelter") in the Chilean city of Concepción has been fighting an almost hopeless fight. The Refugio is one of the few shelters in Chile and the only one that is specified on seriously ill and injured animals.

With high personal and financial expenses, his operators take care of the four-legged patients until they are well again. On the social media they give each animal a face, tell its story and ask for donations in order to pay the dog's treatment and castration.  The organization uses the social media not only to search for new owners, but to document mistreatment, to arise awareness and to encourage a change in common behaviors.

In Chile, the problem of "stray dogs" gets more and more out of control! It concerns not only animal welfare, but also public health and environmental protection. However, the Refugio is completely dependent on private donations, there is no public funds.

The Refugio Patitas Sin Hogar makes a very valuable contribution to Chile's animals and humans. It must survive! Let's help!
