At the "Sommerbibelschule" 2019 in Volkenroda Pastor Aminadab Mbanzabugabo from Rwanda gave a testimony, which touched me, Debora, a lot. He works for Teens for Christ Rwanda. He also runs a Christian school with his wife.
Teens for Christ is an organization originally from Lima, Ohio and now working in 7 countries in Africa and Asia. Turning teenagers into fully committed followers of Jesus Christ is the vision of TFC. That's why they go to schools and tell about what God has done for us. Each week, Pastor Aminadab and his staff reach about 30,000 teenagers (!) in the regions of Cyangugu, Burera and Kigali. In Rwanda, Teens for Christ thereby makes an important contribution to the reconciliation and work-up after the genocide of 1994, which killed over 800,000 people within a few weeks.
At the heart of Teens for Christ's work are the so-called "chapters," small groups in which teenagers study the Bible together. At the end of these courses, the young people get their own bible. A Bible costs about 8 € in Rwanda. This is not much for us in Germany, but unaffordable for many Rwandan youth.
With your donation, you support the acquisition of Bibles in the local language Kinyarwanda.
If you yourself have had the experience that God's Word is alive and has great power, then you can help so that others can experience the same!
