Sometimes every second counts!
A child in distress - and quick help that saves lives!
Sometimes every second counts.
A few days ago, our medical program was confronted with a particularly dramatic case: A little girl who has suffered from epilepsy for years suffered a severe seizure - and fell into boiling water. She suffered extensive scalding to her upper body and face.
Image: Out of respect for the privacy of the injured child, we have deliberately refrained from taking original photographs. The image shown here was created using AI and symbolically conveys what actually happened.
She was taken to hospital immediately, was in severe pain and needed urgent medical care.
For Maria, our project manager on site, it was immediately clear: this child needs help - now.
After a brief consultation and in view of the limited resources available, she admitted the girl to our medical program. She was given painkillers, medication for epilepsy and professional wound care.
Since the world we live in has become increasingly concerned about war, displacement and personal safety, donations for charitable projects are becoming increasingly scarce.
Despite the fact that we will have a reduced budget for this and next year, we have decided to support this child! We want to help where we can and don't want to look away when it is so necessary to look!
What you can do!
Help is only possible because people like you support our work and your donation makes it possible to act immediately when a child is suffering - and to give hope where there is despair.
