    About this project

    G. Inkum from Havilah Academy is responsible for this project
Havilah Academy school is a project. It was started in 1999 to provide a means of quality education to the poor rural folks. Even though there was a school which was run by the government, most of the children who graduated from that school scored very bad grades and so they couldn't qualify for admission into any senior high schools. So year after year, the community and those surrounding it had chunks of educated illiterates. Having realised what the problem was, poor tuition and lack of proper supervision in the government school, Havilah Academy was started with one main objective; to provide free but quality education to them thereby helping them gain good results that will enable them gain admission into the secondary schools.

Thankfully, we've recorded 5 batches of students (about 50 in all) who have gained admission into secondary schools and some have even furthered to the university.

As the population grew biger and bigger, more and more teachers were needed and teaching and administrative expenses grew. So it become necessary for us to charge very small amount of fees to enable us pay teachers salaries and attend to other administrative expenses.

Those wooden structures which were built some 12 years ago have not been replaced with new ones. The activities of termites have even worsened the problem. Now the structure(which you can see from the pictures I've uploaded) needs to be rebuilt.

And this replacement should be done immediately before the unwanted happens;it might collapse completely thereby killing people.

So please come to our aid.
