About this project

The PalliKJUR team at Ulm University Hospital provides intensive medical care and palliative care at home to children in the region who are seriously and terminally ill. This requires state-of-the-art equipment that can be used flexibly and has the same performance as that in the ward.

Some children - in particular the bone marrow children of Prof. Dr. Ansgar Schulz - also need fast and precise diagnostics on site.
An important device for the qualified assessment of vital blood values during stem cell transplantation in severely ill children is a state-of-the-art blood analysis device that allows blood analysis to be carried out on site at the transplant ward within a few seconds. Without such a device, therapy can be delayed because the blood sample first has to be taken to the laboratory.
Such a state-of-the-art, portable device costs € 16,600.
