Funded Electrification of Petite Flamme School in Kinshasa, DRC

We are collecting donations for the installation of a PV-System in a school in Kinshasa. The electricity generated is going to be used for the lighting of the school and charging of laptops. Also a phone charging station for the neighbourhood to use.

Petite Flamme is a school located in Mokali, Kinshasa, the capital of DR Congo. The school gives the children-in-need and the people with hearing disorders the chance of education, which otherwise they wouldn’t have the possibilities to.
Unfortunately currently the school doesn’t have any electricity. Considering the weather conditions in Congo, this makes the learning environment much harder than it already is.

We are planning to solve this problem by installing a basic PV-system. The system is going to generate the electricity needed for the lighting of the school. In addition it will be able to charge laptops, which are going to be used for educational purposes. The maintenance costs of the system is going to be covered by a phone charging station, which is also supported by the system itself. The station will give the possibility to the locals living in close districts to charge their phones in return of a fair fee.

The children in Kongo and our team would be very glad for every sum donated :-)
