    About this project

    K. Okamura from JGC Volunteer Interpreters is responsible for this project
The JGC Volunteer Interpreters Bureau was established following the Great Tohoku Earthquake of March 11th. It was formed on the same day on March 11th 2011, in order to support victims of the disaster. The organization does this by providing volunteer interpreters who can accompany international rescue teams into disaster areas. This is done so that the international aid teams can do their work more effectively. The project is intended to benefit the disaster victims in Tohoku. In order to do this effectively, we need some equipment such as camping gear, food and provisions, as we need to provide our own in the devestated disaster zones. We also have costs such as transportation to the disaster areas.
