We (Felina Sicily e.V.) are a German non-profit association whose goal is to improve the terrible situation of stray cats in Sicily. On the one hand, we regularly carry out neutering campaigns in Sicily, on the other hand, we try to educate the population about neutering andcolony management and to sensitize them to the castration of their own animals.
At the beginning of October our next action will take place in Siracusa. We will locate colonies of street cats. Catch the cats, spay them and release them again. They will also get a tatoo in the ear, a parasite treatment and deworming. This procedure is called TNR (Trap Neuter Return). For each cat we need an amount of 50-60 €. Please help us to to help about 20 cats in the colonies.
Noi (Felina Siciliy e.V.) siamo un’associazione tedesca senza scopo di lucro che si è posta come obiettivo il miglioramento della tremenda situazione in cui vivono i gatti randagi in Sicilia. A questo scopo attuiamo regolarmente degli interventi in Sicilia, sia di castrazione dei felini come pure di informazione e sensibilizzazione della popolazione riguardo alla rilevanza della castrazione e della gestione delle colonie feline.
Il nostro prossimo intervento in loco si svolgerà ad inizio ottobre. Cercheremo colonie di gatti randagi, cattureremo gli animali e dopo averli sottoposti a castrazione e trattamento antiparassitario li libereremo nella loro colonia d’origine. Questo procedimento prende il nome di TNR (Trap Neuter Return). Il costo comporta circa 50-60€ a gatto.
