Legal migration to Germany for equal opportunities for all

About the project 

Thousands of Refugees arrive in Europe via the outer borders of the EU, especially in Italy. Regarding European Law, Refugees have to apply for asylum in the country where they arrive and stay there. The current EU-Law makes a legal migration to another EU-Country extremely difficult, but at the same time, the situation in the border countries is extremely difficult for most the refugees.

Migration_miteinander and its partner network established a way which allows refugees to legally migrate to Germany by using the visa process for apprenticeship (§17 AufenthG). This allows a legal stay in Germany right from the beginning, including all possibilities of active participation and integration. As a first step to legal migration we organize internships and voluntary services in the target countries of the participants.

Through our partner organization Associazione Interculturale in Bologna (Italy), Felix, Alieu and Yacouba got the chance to participate in the empowermentprogram ESOP (http://esopformigrants.org/de/). At the end of the program we were able to find an internship for Alieu in an italian pizzeria in Lahr (Germany) and an internship for Felix at the Institut für Waldorfpädagogik in Witten (Germany) in the kitchen of the canteen. Yacouba also did his internship there and was able to get a place for a one-year voluntary service at the Institute due to his good work during the internship.

To be able to finance their stay in Germany, the three are dependent on your support. Without the urgently needed financial support, the guys won’t be able to realize their dream of moving to Germany. Please help Alieu, Felix and Yacouba!!!
