Minibus for Children's Home in Sucre, Bolivia

This is a question the children and staff at our children's home (Transformation House) in Sucre, Bolivia ask themselves almost every morning, because the car - a 10-seater Nissan Serena minibus - is already 20 years old and is wheezing at every corner. It has already broken down so many times and had to be fixed over and over again. This always means additional costs. Some kids / teenagers are currently going to school by taxi, because not everyone fits into the old minibus.

As we have 12 school-age children living with us permanently in the children's home now and we want to take in even more, we actually need a 15-SEATER MINIBUS – aNissan Urvan would be ideal. It is not too hard to get spare parts for a Nissan in Bolivia, which is another important point to consider.

childrenHope, a part of TOS Ministries, has been working in various South American countries for more than 20 years and now has prevention work, three Transformation Houses for street children and a day care center. In the Transformation Houses, the employees provide street children with a new home. In Sucre, hundreds of children live and work on the streets. Others live in an environment of domestic violence and poverty.

Ten years ago, childrenHope was able to buy a former hotel complex about 12 km outside of Sucre to build a children's home. Today,12 girls and boys are living there who have at last received a chance of a better future.
