OFARIN offers elementary school lessons for children and for women and young girls in mosques as well as in private residences in Afghanistan.
Since 2008, teaching for preschool children began - also in mosques and private homes.Elementary schooling was attended by 9000 students in early 2017.
Six days a week, the subjects of Islamic religion, reading and writing of the mother tongue (Dari or Pashto) and mathematics are taught for only one and a half hours. The students work through the school material, which should be taken in the first two to three classes of state schools. Students who regularly attend OFARIN's lessons learn the material offered.
