Kulturwelten Europa e.V. - a European idea from Berlin and Arad
The story of our organisation begins with a musicologist in Berlin who holds private house concerts in her living room. These concerts are performed by highly talented musicians.
An economist from Arad/Romania (https://vimeo.com/4496412) attends one of these concerts and is impressed by the gifted young performers from Europe.
Both women make a decision to commit themselves long term to supporting young musicians in Europe.
In 2016 with German, Romanian and British friends they found the organisation Kulturwelten Europa e.V. in Berlin: http://kulturwelten-europa.de/
Of the two violinists from Romania who are currently supported by us, one is now studying in Berlin. The other one is a pupil at a grammar school specializing in music and will be coming to Berlin to take part in rehearsals for "Orchestra Week 2018" of the German-Scandinavian Youth Philharmonic at the end of 2017.
In 2018 our goal is to realise the following projects:
- to support gifted young musicians who are financially in need
- to offer help with application procedures and participation in competitions, orchestra weeks, etc.
- support in the purchase of necessary materials (such as strings for instruments, music, etc.)
- the organisation of charity concerts with young talented musicians in Arad and Berlin
In Arad we will support the charitable organisation "A child´s dream | Vis de Copil" for the benefit of children in need. The organisation was founded by Britons who have been living in Arad for many years: http://www.achildsdream.co.uk/
The Berlin concert will be held for the benefit of the Berliner Tafel´s childrens´ project "KIMBAmobil": http://www.berliner-tafel.de/kimba/die-praxis/kimbamobil/
