About this project

Every Year we engage in mining black african diamonds; a brand new set of Young African Queens and kings, who will through a set of skills, innovation and entrepreneurship, transform the continent and change its narrative. We target to change the lives of three hundred youth, by giving them opportunity to become self employed and employable. We do so by including them in the digital economy through a skill acquisition, mentoring and business incubation program that runs for six months, twice a year.
We reach out to 300 Youth, we target the creation of 50 new enterprises, 500 new jobs, with an estimate of 3000 indirect beneficiaries. 50% of these youths are female and 50% male. 50% of Jongo Innovation and Entrepreneurship fellows are selected from alienated, discriminated, marginalized, vulnerable or hard to reach populations such as Commercial Sex Workers, Drug users on Rehabilitation, School Dropouts, physically challenged, Orphans and street kids, people just freed from prison etc. The rest 50% are selected from from graduates of any level with both interests and potentials in creating sustainable new enterprises in the said skill areas, with the ultimate impact of creating new jobs, wealth and delivering prosperity.
The training is focused on Innovation and Entrepreneurship with specialties in graphic design and Professional Printing, web design, photography and media production, digital marketing and software development. Each fellow is subscribed to the JONGO academy online global learning for further skill acquisition. We then provide seed capital to the most, outstanding, scalable, fundable, impact making and feasible emerging entrepreneurs from the cohort of fellows. The rest of fellows are transferred to a partner job search and career orientation center where their chances to gain rewarding employment is high. Some are eventually employed by the businesses created by the project
We believe that change-makers are found in unexpected places. The most creative ideas are born in very undesirable conditions. Very often, we have allowed the grave to consume the biggest talents that could help curb the worlds most pressing problems. Your donation will be ensuring the future of one or more young people. And who knows if your donation ,may birth the worlds next greatest employer. What ever be that case, you have the opportunity to birth hope, shape the African destiny and and restore human dignity by supporting the JONGO PROJECT
