How does running an Ironman and constructing a classroom fit together?

Lufthansa-Purser Riita visited children of the iThemba-school in Cape-Town. In the township Capricorn she organised a workshop on the topic of “Ironman”. She wanted to show the children what one can achieve through discipline and persistence and that it can also be fun! (Check out the video-clip)

Riita will compete in the Frankfurt Ironman on the 30th of June 2019. She can be sure of the support of all the children of iThemba.

3.86 km of swimming, 180.2 km of cycling and 42.196km of running. Just as the competition needs to be accomplished step by step, the construction of a classroom takes time and needs to be done brick by brick. A brick costs 75 cents, the total amount of costs for a classroom are 90,000 euros. A long way ahead? Not if there are many helpers along the way.
