What we do

We are supporting children in Tanzania to find a way to a better life. The first step out of poverty is education. Our aim therefore is to enable the children to attend school.

Our first projects promote a primary school attended by 1200 pupils in one of the remotest areas of Tanzania. The children are eager to knowledge and any support here will go a long way. With the last donations, 120 desks have been ordered at the local carpenter, hundreds of schoolbooks have been provided, a computer lab has been built and a Meal-A-Day programme has been established in the nursery school.

Current priorities include desks, text books and learning equipment, another class room and a well. Besides we would like to implement Meal-A-Day also in the primary school.

How you can get involved

Become part of PENCILS FOR HOPE and support our cause. Here are a few examples of what you can achieve with your donation:

  • 25 Euro will buy a desk for the school
  • 50 Euro will fund 20 school books
  • 100 Euro will provide school uniforms for ten children
  • 1000 Euro will sponsor Meal-A-Day for the nursery school for one year
