Education is a major issue in Congo as 76% of the population can not send their children to school due to too-high tuition fees. Those fees, around 25USD/month, represent in average half of the monthly wage.
Denis is a professional baker in Stuttgart, Germany. He proposed to volunteer in the Congo to train future bakers. This precious know-how in hand, those bakers will run the Centre Ya Bana ("center for children" in English ) bakery. The specificity of this bakery is that part of the incomes generated by the bakery will fund the near joined school and cover the students tuitions; thus providing a tuition-free education to the children of Kinshasa suburbs.
We would like to help Denis go to the Congo but we need your help. Your donations will be used to cover:
