Help Children in Forgotten Crises
Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. Around the world, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.
But especially when it comes to so called ‘Forgotten Crises’ Save the Children needs your support. Forgotten Crises are those crises that in spite of costing many human lives receive very little or no media attention or institutional funding. Save the Children needs your help to be able to react fast – especially as children in crises are always the most vulnerable.
Forgotten Crises can be caused by anything from protracted conflict situations to natural disasters – more often than not a combination of the two. Current examples are the dire situations in Yemen, the Central African Republic or in northern Myanmar. Also, the drought at the Horn of Africa is slowly but surely spiraling out of control and will cost even more lives than the drought in 2011 if we do not act soon.
Save the Children needs your help to react fast and efficiently especially in these Forgotten Crises as children are always the most vulnerable.
We make sure that children affected by floods, famines, earthquakes, diseases outbreaks and armed conflict get life-saving medical aid, shelter, food and water. We safeguard children and help reunite separated families. And we help children recover from crises by providing emotional support and safe places to learn and play. Please help us save children in Forgotten Crises!
