About this project

We want to produce an explainer video (in German and English), which illustrates the idea of unconditional basic income. This idea encompasses the vision of a society in which each individual bearer of human rights can be free of any involuntary impositions.
There is societal dispute surrounding this vision. The ones with more power, influence and authority than others are less than enthusiastic about such a proposal, because it enables people to elude power and authority to focus once again on their own needs and the needs of their environment (fellow humans, nature).
The video will explain why the idea of basic income is fair and how it can be realised.
Basic income is no pie in the sky fantasy substituting our social welfare systems, which are experienced as insufficient and repressive. It isn't the magical deus ex machina, solving all our problems. It is a proposal offering strength and direction for the daily sociopolitical challenges.
The video should be ready by September to coincide with the 9th International Basic Income Week http://www.woche-des-grundeinkommens.eu/ (oder: http://basicincomeweek.org ??), during which it should be premiering all over the world.
We are producing this explainer video together with Pudelskern, which is specialising in projects like this http://pudels-kern.net/.
It will be 210 seconds in length, produced in two different language versions - German and English. Both versions together will cost €7,000. The attac working group "enough for all" will contribute €3000 Euro, so we need donations of €2000 Euro for each language version - and this is what YOU can help with!
